About Course
This module builds a strong foundation in the financial aspects of construction project delivery. Learners will explore industry-standard cost estimation methods, from top-down and bottom-up approaches to advanced parametric and probabilistic models. The module introduces the use of unit-rate databases and historical cost benchmarks to increase estimating accuracy. It also covers budgeting techniques, including time-phased cash flows, draw schedules, and the impact of inflation and escalation. Learners will examine strategic procurement and supply chain practices such as vendor pre-qualification, performance tracking, and just-in-time delivery models. Finally, the module equips professionals with tools to manage financial risks using simulations and visualize project performance using KPI dashboards and reporting tools. Through this module, participants gain the financial literacy and tools needed to plan, control, and optimize project cost outcomes.
