About Course

This forward-looking module explores how digital innovation and sustainable methodologies are revolutionizing the construction industry. Learners will gain a practical understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital collaboration tools, and the integration of 4D and 5D planning for better design coordination and project controls. The module also introduces cutting-edge emerging technologies, including drones, IoT sensors, and digital twins, and how these tools enhance accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making throughout a project’s lifecycle. In parallel, students will dive into sustainability principles, including LEED, BREEAM, and life-cycle assessments, and how these frameworks shape environmentally responsible design and construction. Finally, the module examines modular and off-site construction practices—from DfMA strategies to factory-based quality control and just-in-time delivery—demonstrating how innovation and sustainability intersect in modern project delivery.
