About Course
This module explores the essential principles and practices for controlling both infectious and chronic diseases. It provides learners with a solid understanding of the epidemiology, prevention, and management strategies needed to combat communicable diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, and COVID-19, as well as non-communicable conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. Emphasis is placed on vaccination, disease surveillance, outbreak response, policy development, and community-based interventions. The module also addresses the growing challenges of co-morbidities and the long-term burden of disease in low-resource and high-risk populations.
