About Course

This culminating module focuses on advanced and sector-specific applications of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), alongside the integration of emerging global trends and technologies. Learners will explore how ERM frameworks are adapted in industries such as financial services, government, supply chain, ESG, and cybersecurity. The module introduces advanced quantitative and actuarial techniques used to model extreme events and determine economic capital. It also investigates new frontiers of risk—such as artificial intelligence, climate risk, geopolitical volatility, and public health disruptions. Learners will synthesize their knowledge through a capstone case study, applying holistic ERM principles to a real-world organization or scenario.

What Will You Learn?

  • Analyze and apply ERM principles within specialized sectors such as financial services, public institutions, ESG-focused enterprises, supply chains, and cybersecurity-heavy operations.
  • Use quantitative and actuarial models to estimate economic capital needs, understand tail risks, and aggregate exposures.
  • Identify and manage emerging risks such as artificial intelligence failures, climate-related disruptions, pandemics, and geopolitical instability.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive ERM capability by completing a capstone project involving risk strategy design, evaluation, and presentation for a real or simulated organization.
  • Bridge the gap between risk identification and strategic business value creation through applied learning and executive-level communication.
