About Course

This module introduces students to the systems, institutions, and ethical foundations that shape tourism worldwide. It examines the roles played by governments, NGOs, and international organizations in developing and enforcing tourism policy. Learners will explore how laws, rights, and codes of conduct influence the behavior of tourists and tourism providers, and analyze pressing ethical issues like labor exploitation, cultural misrepresentation, and environmental justice. By understanding governance structures and ethical frameworks, students will be equipped to advocate for and contribute to responsible, equitable tourism development.
