Dr. Santarvis Brown is a globally respected educator, leader, author, and strategic advisor with a distinguished career in higher education and organizational leadership. He currently serves as Chair of the Graduate Business Department at Excelsior University, where he oversees program development, faculty excellence, and strategic growth. His transformative leadership helped launch both the Executive MBA and Doctor of Business Administration programs at Excelsior.
Dr. Brown holds an impressive academic portfolio, with doctorates in Higher Education Leadership (South College), Business Administration (PhD, Charisma University), and Educational Administration (California Coast University). He also earned advanced degrees in law, divinity, management, and leadership, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Religion & Philosophy from Florida Memorial University.
Previously, Dr. Brown served as Vice President of Accreditation Relations at the Accrediting Commission for Applied Higher Learning, as Chief Academic Officer at Miami Regional University, and in leadership roles at Cornell University, University of Virginia, and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, where he made history as its first African American Director of Education. His extensive expertise in accreditation, institutional development, and inclusive education has made him a sought-after consultant and advisor, currently contributing to organizations such as the Forbes Business Council, Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, Einstin Bridge, and Iron Key Venture Partners.
Dr. Brown is an accomplished author of several books including Leading While Limping, Brothers Minutes, Oh, The Leading You Will Do, and Leading in Color: Struggles, Strategies, and Successes for Leaders of Color. His writings on leadership, social justice, and organizational effectiveness have appeared in books, journals, and platforms such as Brainz Magazine.
